Musicians Sifa Graffiti and Dan Berg, are Sight After Dark (S.A.D.), creators of Urban Electronic Rock; a fiery blend of Pop, Country, New Wave, Blues, Rap, Soul and Rock and Roll.

 

S.A.D. was formed in 2019 after Sifa and Dan met, by chance, at an open mic in downtown Manhattan. Together they came up with the name Sight After Dark, feeling it is a great verbal representation of the musical beacon that forms when so many genres of music are combined together. 

 

Born Sifa Rachid in the Democratic Republic of Congo, raised in Brooklyn and Rockland County, NY, main vocalist Sifa Graffiti provides, searing, femme lyrics, with belted or mellow tones, in addition to percussive rhythms and soulful guitar chords. She is influenced and inspired by Hip Hop, her late father (a former Congolese singer) as well as legends like Tina Turner, Eagles, Gwen Stefani, Ann Wilson, Robert Plant and Howlin Wolf.

Daniel Berger, aka Dan Berg was born in Clearwater, FL and currently lives in Brooklyn, NY. He rips through tracks on lead electric guitar, or mellows out on acoustic guitar throughout S.A.D.'s body of work. He often adds background or featured lead vocals, feel good rhymes, synth and production to the Sight After Dark sound. His influences range from The Strokes to Miles Davis, Kid Cudi, Biggie Smalls, Sublime, Depeche Mode and Led Zeppelin.

Sight After Dark's respect and love for the same genres of music, and the groups that have contributed to them, have made them great partners and co-creators. Their music has brought them to a wide variety of stages and venues including two performances at the legendary Off-Broadway venue, the Triad Theater.

 

Their band along with their music is crisp, grungy, avante garde, nostalgic, trippy, loud, aggressive, vulnerable, knowledgeable and solid. It's for here, for now and all times after. Though they are musicians first and foremost, their artistry branches out into their YouTube reaction channel, and their podcast Music Maniacs with Sight After Dark. They truly feel that having these channels have made them better musicians and songwriters as a result of the great amount of exposure to different generations of music and musical styles.
